30 Weeks

How far along? 30 Weeks

Total weight gain: 9lbs- a little on the low end. I guess I should be up in the high teens low 20s This by no means is intentional. Baby is growing fine because I am measuring big (as you can see above).

Maternity clothes? Yes, I've had to dig out the wonderful maternity clothes I got when I was pregnant with Amar'e. I am so thankful for them. I am still wearing my pre-pregnancy jeans unbuttoned.

Stretch marks? Yes. Getting some redness on the top of my growing belly. I've picked up the use of my bio-oil.

Sleep: Much better than last week.

Best moment this week: Amar'e singing to my belly and saying she would be mad if the baby was a boy.

Miss anything? Breathing normally. I've been a little short of breath on occasion.

Movement: Some days the movement is non-stop, and other days the baby is a little quieter.

Food cravings(this will be an ongoing list I will add to) : Fruits and vegetables, lemons, tomatoes, nachos, chocolate chip cookies, salt, this chickpea concoction that Andrew whipped up one day for lunch, Brussels sprouts lot and lot of brussels sprouts, caramelized onions, Mangos,Watermelon, cucumber and avocado rolls, water with lemon. Salad and corn on the cob.

Anything making you queasy or sick: I have been getting occasional nausea. Probably because my stomach is being squeezed by the little human I'm growing.

Gender: We will not be finding out the gender until the day the baby arrives. I have been watching the DVD of the ultrasound, and I have a suspicion that we are having a boy. I am in no way trained in gender determination of ultrasounds, so I am extremely uncertain. We still will be picking out a boy name and a girl name.

Symptoms: Heartburn, shortness of breath, slight swelling, nausea.

Belly button in or out? In but flatten right out.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty happy this week.

Looking forward to: Another pregnancy massage from the best massage student in town and keeping up my daily walking routine.

A Tea Party

Amar'e was lucky enough to get a ceramic tea set for her 2nd birthday and until now we have only used it once. I decided that we were way over due for another tea party and it seemed like a perfect day for a tea party, and I was right! Everyone we invited was able to attend....and we proceeded to drink lots of tea, laugh and enjoy ourselves. I live for these moments....

Don't forget about our giveaway going on here! :)

28 Weeks

How far along? 28 Weeks

Total weight gain: 9lbs

Maternity clothes? Yes, I've had to dig out the wonderful maternity clothes I got when I was pregnant with Amar'e. I am so thankful for them. Not only stylish but oh so comfy too!

Stretch marks? No new ones, but I've been using my Bio-Oil occasionally.

Sleep: Sleep.....funny! I am still having trouble in this area. This probably wont get better until this little bundle is 2 years old. Yay!

Best moment this week: "You have a big baby in your belly.....look, me too!" -Amar'e
She is still convinced she has a baby in her belly too. She has been feeling my belly when the baby kicks and her reaction is priceless.

Miss anything? Sleep!!

Movement:Yes, yes, yes. Lots of movement. Kicks are getting stronger. Sometimes, while I am sitting down at work I have to stand up and move around to get the rib kicks to stop for a bit.

Food cravings: Fruits and vegetables, lemons, tomatoes, nachos, chocolate chip cookies, salt, this chickpea concoction that Andrew whipped up one day for lunch, Brussels sprouts lot and lot of brussels sprouts, caramelized onions, Mangos,Watermelon, cucumber and avocado rolls, water...

Anything making you queasy or sick: Pretty much over this part of the journey.I hope.

Symptoms: Heartburn, back ache, loss of memory, concentration and the worst part of all my exhaustion is back and in full force!!!! NOT GOOD! Speaking of, is it nap time yet???

Belly button in or out? In but flatten right out.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time: Still getting some mood swings on and off. If I get hungry...watch out.

Looking forward to: Another pregnancy massage from the best massage student in town...thanks Andrew! :)

I am happy to report that I have pulled out all of the newborn baby clothes I stored. I've washed them, folded them, and neatly put them away. I've also started to pack my hospital bag. Yah, I know I am a little early on this but I have to take advantage of when I have Andrew around to get the stuff I need to go through from the basement, and when I have energy to do it. I've also started to get the baby equipment out, washed up, and ready.

Happy Blogversary & A Handmade Giveaway {CLOSED}

I can't believe it! I've been blogging for a year now. It seemed to fly by so fast. Not that I went into blogging thinking there was some kind of time frame I was going to follow, but I really had to work up the nerve to start a blog and now I've been doing this for a year. Wow! I do have to say that I am still hesitant about sharing a lot of my true feelings. I am not saying anything I have shared wasn't real because it was, it's just that I find myself being more reserved in my blogging than I thought I would be.  I sometimes envision posting things that never make the cut. I look up to those blogger that are brutally honest in their space on the internet, without much worry or concern of how it will affect someone because after all it probably will offend someone out there. I would never intentionally try to offend anyone ever, but sometimes I run into a situation that gets me thinking and I would love to share it, but don't quite have the confidence to make that happen. Then the regret sets in of not sharing, but still these things don't make the cut. Maybe the community I would like to see be built from this blog would manifest if I just shared what I truly feel, and maybe then I would have some people to converse on these touchy topics with but is it worth the risk? What do I have to lose? What am I afraid of? I don't have answers. I know I started following the blogs that I follow because of some type of connection, some type of admiration of confidence. What's holding me back? Maybe I've lost my focus of why I started to blog in the first place. I started because I want connect with other people, other mothers, other families similar and different from ours to share the experience of child rearing, family, etc. Overall though, I dont have a real blog focus...its more like I post what I feel like posting whether thats a food post, a DIY, pregnancy update, picture chroniciling  my journey to becoming a pro photographer, a lately, etc. I find that this blog is very good for one thing...keeping up with family and friends that live apart from us and for that I am thankful. Lets see the next year holds for us and this little blog of mine. My goal is to be fearless and write without worry. Welp.....
